Where do you get your wood from?

We source our wood as local as possible. We strive to find Pennsylvania Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Maple, and other locally available woods to reduce our carbon footprint. We work with local millers that have specialty slabs and wood available. We purchase the highest grade dimensional lumber from local mills as well. Also, we source logs salvaged from tree removal companies. Everything is dried in our state of the art vacuum kiln, which dries the wood inside out -- reducing the possibility of future cracking or warping.

What is the quality of the wood and finish?

We only source the highest grade lumber and slabs we can find. Our finish for most of our products is a 0% VOC plant-based finish so that you can be sure that it's safe to put in your home. We hand sand everything down to a high grit, and then hand finish as well. All of our products are made in the USA.

Do you take custom orders?

We absolutely take custom orders -- we're located in the former lumber capital of the world, Williamsport, PA, so we have access to many different kinds of wood. If you have particular dimensions for a desk, table, etc., we can make them to your exact specifications.

What is the turnaround time for custom orders?

Depending on the size and type of wood you choose, it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. This is unless you have a custom order, or if a listing has an otherwise specified lead time. We strive to get all products out as quickly as possible, but we want to ensure you receive the high quality product you are purchasing!

What are my shipping options?

Anything under 120 pounds and 7' will be shipped via UPS/USPS/Fedex. The legs will ship separately from the main table, so they may arrive at different times. Anything over that, we will arrange a freight company to take the table to you. If the item is shipped freight, there will be an up-charge as we only include shipping for items that UPS/USPS/Fedex will take. We also have white glove services available for an additional fee. Please contact us for a shipping quote if ordering a table over 7' long.

How long does it take to ship?

For things we have in stock, we aim for 2-3 weeks -- during busy times, it can be longer than that

Is assembly required?

If it's under 150 pounds and 8', some minor assembly will be required -- mainly screwing the legs to the table. For larger and heavier items, we recommend two people help with the assembly, but you will only need a screwdriver or drill to complete the task.

What if my item is damaged in shipping?

Please take photos of the damage and we will make it right.

Do you accept returns?

Please refer to our refund policy page!

Why does the wood have imperfections?

Wood expands and contracts all the time, specifically with hot/cold temperature changes or dry/humid changes as well. Most likely the wood will have knots, cracks, worm holes, and other character elements that we fill in with epoxy or leave as-is on your piece if it won't affect the structure of the wood. Large cracks will be filled with bow ties as well as epoxy. We can't guarantee the item will be free from defects, as each piece is unique.

Why does what I received look different from the photos online?

Since each piece is unique, the photos you see online were previous pieces that we made. Your item will be similar to what you ordered, but the grain patterns, color, and character elements will be different. We can't guarantee that something will look exactly the same.

Do you work with designers?

We absolutely do, please send us an email through our Contact Us page to learn about our Trade Program.

How dry is the wood that you use?

We vacuum dry our wood to around 6-8% depending on the slab.

What do you use for your finishes?

For most items, we use a 0% VOC plant-based finish that is safe for your home. For some items, such as outdoor furniture, or bar tops that might get a heavy use, we have poly finishes that will hold up to more wear and tear.

What do I need to do to care for the table?

Our finishes are made to last a very long time. To clean the table, we recommend using only a wet cloth, and to not use any harsh chemicals on the table. If it's still dirty, we recommend a soft natural soap to get anything else off the surface. Years into the future, you may need to renew the finish -- you won't need to sand or do anything difficult, our finish company has a solution called Renew that's available for purchase, and you simply rub that into the table and it's good as new. We recommend keeping your home at a normal humidity and temperature level, as if it gets too dry it can cause issues with the table.
